The last slot in the Division 4 softball quarterfinals has been filled.

Centreville beat Kalamazoo Christian 7-1 Monday to win the Division 3 regional at Decatur, sending the Bulldogs in the state quarterfinals Tuesday at Bailey Park in Battle Creek against Whiteford.

The Bobcats (23-12-1) are trying to reach the state finals for the second consecutive season. Centreville, who is 33-6, last appeared in the quarterfinals in 2011. They’ve lost twice in the semifinals in school history.

Whiteford and Centreville have never met in softball.
