PETERSBURG – Whiteford’s 2018 varsity volleyball team made its season debut Saturday, going 2-2 in the Summerfield Volleyball Invitational.

The Bobcats defeated Britton Deerfield (25-14, 25-13, 25-9) and Dundee (6-25, 25-20, 15-10) but lost twice to Vandercook Lake (10-25, 21-25, 26-27 and 19-25, 21-25).

For the day, Katelyn Kuebler had 51 assists and Lindsey Walker had 27 kills.

Vandercook Lake won the championship.

The Bobcats host Blissfield Tuesday in a non-conference matchup.
