OTTAWA LAKE — Football season is just around the corner.

The Whiteford Bobcat varsity football team won’t play at home until Week 3 of the prep season, but the Bobcats will host a scrimmage Thursday with Ida, Grass Lake and Tecumseh.

The JV teams will go at 3 p.m. and varsity squads meet at 5.

Whiteford is coming off a 10-1 season and has qualified for the state playoffs seven consecutive years.

The season officially begins for the Whiteford varsity team on Thursday, Aug. 29 at Blissfield.
