PETERSBURG – Whiteford’s volleyball team will play in the semifinals of the Division 3 state volleyball tournament Wednesday against No. 2 ranked St. Mary Catholic Central.

The Kestrels beat Erie Mason Monday, 25-8, 25-9, 25-7, in the opening round of the district.

In Wednesday’s semifinals, Summerfield will take on Blissfield at 5:30 p.m. and Whiteford taking on the 43-2 Kestrels at 7.

The finals are at 7 p.m. Thursday.
