ERIE – Whiteford’s basketball team built a 36-30 lead going into the fourth quarter Thursday against the Erie Mason Eagles, but a couple of early turnovers and hot-shooting Eagle squad overcame the deficit and won 51-41.

Cole Giesige scored 17 points to lead Whiteford. Luke Rasor added 7.

Whiteford hosts Morenci Saturday afternoon.
