BRITTON — The Whiteford Bobcats picked up their first win of the season Tuesday, grabbing an early lead and staying in front all game in a 39-27 win over Britton Deerfield.
“I am proud of the girls for consistently playing hard and never giving up,” Bobcat coach Les Manley said.
The Bobcats led 12-6 after the first quarter and led by as many as 18 points.
“We were up seven to 10 points most of the game,” Manley said.
Emily Rasor, Kinzie Kohler and Annie Gapp each scored 6 points to lead the Bobcats while Anna VanBrandt, Zoe Bauman, Madelyn Thomas and Anna Schober each scored four points. Ava Hillard scored five points.
Gapp hit the first two 3-pointers of her career.
