Whiteford’s Student-Athletes of the month are powerlifter Haley Luse and basketball player Hunter DeBarr.

Luse recently won the Michigan High School Powerlifting Association state champion in her weight class, finishing first with a total lift of 770 on Feb. 26.

DeBarr has been a member of the Bobcat varsity boys basketball team that finished the regular season 13-7 and enter the state tournament play Wednesday. DeBarr made the game-winning shot against Sand Creek and scored a career-high 22 points against Britton Deerfield.
