OTTAWA LAKE – Whiteford swept Adrian Madison Wednesday, starting its defense of the Tri-County Conference title, with 10-0 and 16-1 wins.

Unity Nelson pitched a no-hitter in the first game while Berlynn Keller went 2-for-4 with five RBI. Anna VanBrandt and Patrina Marsh had two hits each.

Keller hit a grand slam and struck out eight in the second game. She allowed on hit.

Whiteford is 8-0.
