TECUMSEH – Whiteford opened the 2022 varsity volleyball season Thursday with a 1-3 record in the Tecumseh Tournament.

The Bobcats beat Pinckney 25-16, 25-12 but lost to Monroe 25-12, 25-18, Ida 25-15, 25-17 and Madison 25-21, 12-25, 16-14.

“All in all, it was a decent day for us,” Bobcat coach Janie Bunge said. “Playing bigger schools will prepare us for regular season play.”

Kenzie Gray had 15 kills and Liv Ruehle had 12 kills. Aly VanBrandt had 15 digs while Alaina Andrews accumulated 55 assists.

The Bobcats are 1-3.
