Some of Whiteford all-time great athletes and coaches were honored Saturday afternoon during a special 50-Year Anniversary of the Tri-County Conference.

The league is marking its 50th season of existence this school year. Saturday’s celebration was held throughout the Summerfield-Madison football game. Coaches, athletic directors, athletes and other significant contributors were introduced and recognized.

Representing Whiteford on the field was coaches Kris Hubbard, John Rice, Terry Pant, Sandy Clark and Jim Hojnacki. The athletes present were Josh Beck, Andrew Toda, Miranda Johnson and Paige Thomas.

Accomplishments of several other Whiteford athletes and coaches were announced as well.
