Whiteford’s girls placed second and boys third in the TCC Cross Country Championships Tuesday.
Keegan Masters (17:05.15) and Elliott Rodgers both earned first team all-league honors on the boys side. Masters placed second in the race. Zach Kahn earned honorable mention all-league honors.
Emily Rasor was the top Bobcat girl finisher, placing sixth and earning first team All-TCC honors. Annabelle Gapp was ninth, good for second team all-league, and Jillian Webb was 17th, which is honorable mention all-league.
“It was a very cold, windy, and wet day which made for tough conditions,” Whiteford coach Jay Yockey said.
Erie Mason and Sand Creek took home championships Tuesday in the Tri-County Conference Cross Country finals.
The Eagle boys had the overall champion in Jackson Ansel and placed first at the five-team league meet with 31 points, ahead of Madison (48), Whiteford (69), Morenci (77) and Sand Creek (136). Jackson Ansel finished first overall (16:42.92).
In the girls race, Sand Creek finished first with 27 points, followed by Whiteford (52) and Erie Mason (53). Emersyn Bachelder of Morenci was first overall (21:29.01).
Whiteford runs at the Airport Invitational Saturday.
