CARLETON — Whiteford’s cross country team raced against Division 1 and Division 2 schools Saturday and Keegan Masters took first place.
The Bobcat boys were fourth as a team and the Whiteford girls came in ninth.
“It definitely was a good day to get a shake out and tune up race before regionals next week,” Whiteford coach Jay Yockey said. “We raced against all D1 and D2 teams today go really push us a bit more.
“Keegan did a great job of leading the race from start to finish, and the other five guys raced well. We know our race plan for next week, we’re just hopeful all the pieces of the puzzle will be in place.”
The Bobcat girls were paced by Annie Gapp and Emily Rasor.
“All season we’ve battled sickness and injuries. But today was a good confidence boost for the girls,” Yockey said.
The Bobcats compete at the Division 3 Regional at Willow Metropark next weekend.
