OTTAWA LAKE – Hunter DeBarr and Jake Iott combined for 246 yards rushing, five touchdowns and four two-point conversions as Whiteford beat Riverview Gabriel Richard 56-19 to win a Division 8 district championship. 

Whiteford led 24-0 at halftime and 40-0 midway through the third quarter. 

The Bobcats scored first when Richard quarterback Nick Wisniewski was called for intentional grounding while in the end zone for a safety. On the ensuing kickoff, Shea Ruddy returned it 70 yards for a touchdown and a 10-0 lead. 

DeBarr had touchdown runs of 34 and 26 plus a 6 yard touchdown catch from Ruddy. Iott scored on runs of 9 and 8 yards. Drew Knaggs also scored a touchdown for 11-0 Whiteford. 

The Bobcats will host White Pigeon next week in the regional final.
