Whiteford snaps losing skid with win over Cardinal Stritch

OREGON, Ohio — Madelyn Thomas helped the Bobcats get off to a great start with two 3-pointers in the first quarter Saturday as Whiteford snapped a seven-game losing skid, beating Oregon Cardinal Stritch 49-26.

Whiteford’s defense held the home team to 3 first quarter points.

Jessica Ulery scored 14 points to lead the Bobcats and Emily Hill chipped in with 8. Eight different Bobcats scored. Ulery scored 8 of her points in the third quarter when Whiteford outscored Cardinal Stritch 15-7.

“We’ve moved a few people around in their positions lately and I think they are finally stepping into those roles nicely,” said Bobcat interim head coach Shauna Rasor.

Annie Gapp had a good game on the boards with 10 rebounds.

The Bobcats are 4-9 overall. They are at Dundee Tuesday.
