BLISSFIELD – Whiteford’s softball season kicked off Thursday with a pair of wins over Blissfield.

The Bobcats won 10-1 and 12-1.

Unity Nelson struck out 14 in seven innings and surrendered only one hit. Nelson and Alison Spradling had two hits each.  

Karlei Conard picked up the win in five innings in game two. She also had two hits and 3RBI. Shaylin Alexander was 2-2 with 3 runs scored in game two.  

Whiteford plays at Sylvania Southview Saturday. The doubleheader starts at noon.
