On Thursday, the Bobcats beat Ohio Division 1 Toledo Whitmer, rallying in the sixth inning to mercy-rule the Panthers.
Unity Nelson struck out 11 batters and scattered five hits.
Nelson, Aly VanBrandt, Karlei Conard and Koralynn Billau each had two hits.
“It was a great day of adjustments for us,” VanBrandt said. “Our hitters saw a wide variety of speeds and spins. We also had some unique plays and calls on the field, which were awesome learning experiences.”
Both Whiteford and Whitmer had baserunners on in five out of six innings.
The Bobcats are now 15-1 and return to action Tuesday against New Boston Huron, who is among the top teams in the Huron League at 10-1.
