Bobcats are TCC softball champions

Whiteford swept Summerfield Wednesday, 12-0 and 15-0, to secure a fourth consecutive TCC championship.

Unity Nelson tossed her fourth straight no-hitter, striking out 10 in five innings of work in the first game. Aly VanBrandt was the leading hitter, going 2-for-3 with three runs scored and five RBIs.

In game 2, Karlei Conard gave up just one hit and struck out six in three innings. Kaydence Sheldon went 3-for-3 with a home run and Nelson had two hits.

The Bobcats are 26-3 overall and 10-0 in the TCC. Every other TCC team has at least three losses.

The Bobcats will travel Monday to take on No. 7 ranked Grass Lake.
