Bobcats are Regional track champs!

ADRIAN – Whiteford won the Division 3 Regional boys track and field championship Saturday, scoring 131 points and taking home six individual regional titles.

Keegan Masters won both the 1600 and 3200, Shea Ruddy won the 400 and was on the winning 4×400 replay and Ryin Ruddy won the 300 Hurdles and was on the same first-place relay. Stepan Masserant was first in the pole vault, tying a school record.

Whiteford scored 131 points as a team. Onsted was second with 107, Erie Mason third at 95.5 and host Madison fourth at 71. Ida was fifth at 51.

Whiteford’s last Regional championship came in 2007, the same year the Bobcats won the state title.

Next week, Whiteford will compete for the TCC title on Tuesday and at the MITCA state championships.
