OTTAWA LAKE – Whiteford’s running game was in high gear Friday as the Bobcat racked up nearly 500 yards rushing and crushed the Bombers.
The Bobcats got long rushing touchdowns from Jake Iott (80 yards), Hunter DeBarr (26 and 50), Stepan Masserant (24, 11), Brek Ruddy (48) and Antonio Nachtrab (54 yards).
“We were consistent tonight,” Whiteford coach Todd Thieken said. “We were consistent where we weren’t having five good plays, then do something bad. Our offensive lineman did a really good job with their assignments and our backs were hitting the holes in the right spots.”
Tre Eitniear threw a 66-yard touchdown pass to Kolby Masserant and Brandon Knaggs scored on a 2-yard rush for the other Bobcat touchdowns.
Kolby Masserant and Ryin Ruddy had interceptions for the Bobcat defense.
Iott rushed for 116 yards and DeBarr 102. Brek Ruddy had 86 yards on the ground for the Bobcats, who are 4-0 and have won 18 straight games.
