SAND CREEK – Whiteford’s Keegan Masters took first Tuesday in the TCC Cross Jamboree No. 2.
Masters, a senior, won his race by more than 30 seconds, beating Austin Sulier of Erie Mason. His winning time was 17:02.5.
Zach Kahn placed 12th for the Bobcats, who were fourth as a team. Erie Mason won the race with 42 points, followed by Morenci (54), Sand Creek (68), Whiteford (79) and BD (114).
Brendon Masters placed 20th with a time of 20:43.9.
In the girls race, the Bobcats were second behind Erie Mason.
Freshman Braelynn Chiotti was third with a time of 22:09.4 while Annabelle Gapp (23:40.8) was eighth and Emily Rasor (23:46.4) ninth. Jillian Webb (26:11.5) was 20th for the Bobcats.
LCS’s Izzy Brooks broke the Cougar school record with a time of 19:18.6 to win the girls race. BD’s Aubrey Appleman was second with a time of 22:06.6.
