Whiteford’s boys and girls basketball teams will have some interesting road trips and first-time opponents on the 2023-24 schedules.
The Bobcat boys will participate in the Quincy Holiday Tournament along with Mendon, Vandercook Lake and the host school. Whiteford has never faced either of those three schools on the boys basketball court.
Also new to the Whiteford schedule is Hudson. Whiteford last faced Hudson in the 1978-79 season. Hudson is coached by former longtime Madison head coach Jeff Webster.
Other non-league games include games against Saline Washtenaw Christian, Ottawa Hills, Ida, Bedford, Monroe, Jefferson and the final regular season game against Blissfield.
Whiteford will also face Lenawee Christian twice. LCS will compete in the Tri-County Conference for the first time.

In girls basketball, the Bobcats face some of the same schools – Washtenaw Christian, Ida, Jefferson, Monroe, Hudson and Dundee. The Whiteford girls also face Clinton.
“We are trying to give the kids a great experience, the chance to play some new teams,” athletic director Jeremy Simmons said.
