ANN ARBOR – Whiteford’s cross country team competed at the Ann Arbor Father Gabriel Richard Cross Country Invitational Saturday, the first meet in nearly a couple of weeks for the Bobcats.
Keegan Masters placed sixth with a time of 16:21.84 despite the rainy, sometimes muddy conditions.
“It was very wet, muddy and cold race,” Whiteford coach Jay Yockey said. “A lot of our kids slipped, but still ran aggressively and tough. This was a great showing after having the last two weeks off from racing.”
Zach Kahn placed in the top 50 with a 42nd place finish, finishing in 18:10.65. Brendon Masters was 94th. Gasper Pirrone was 111th, Ryan Thomas 120th and Logan Keane 121st. Josh Hill came in 123rd.
On the girls side, freshman Braelynn Chiotti finished 60th with a time of 22:28.69 to lead the Bobcat runners. Annabelle Gapp placed 88th, Emily Rasor 91st, Jillian Webb 119th and Megan Butz 127th.
The Bobcats will race Tuesday at the TCC Championships at Hudson.
