Masters shatters own school record, wins Airport event

CARLETON – Whiteford’s Keegan Masters followed up his TCC-winning meet earlier in the week by shattering his own school record Saturday, finish first the Airport Invitational with a time of 15:34.3.

“It was amazing to watch and see him finally, and convincingly, break into the 15s,” Whiteford coach Jay Yockey said.

Zach Kahn (18:28.8) was 39th, Brendon Masters 60th (19:19.0) and Gaspare Pirrone 75th (20:31.0). Ryan Thomas (20:40.1), Logan Keane (20:40.5) and Weston Fojtik (26:28) also had good days for the Bobcats.

On the girls side, Braelynn Chiotti placed 14th with a run of 21:24.4. Annabelle Gapp placed 25th (22:49.7), Emil Rasor two spots behind her (22:53.3). Jillian Webb, Reagan Wing and Megan Butz all placed in the top 60.

“Across the board, everyone ran either season or career PRs and did great,” Yockey said.

The Bobcats are off until Saturday.
