Jim Ross has stepped down as the Whiteford girls varsity basketball coach.

Ross missed much of last season for health reasons and recently decided to not return this season.

The Bobcats went 8-13 last season with Ross and Shauna Rasor splitting time as head coach. Ross also coached the Whiteford girls in 2007-08 then spent six seasons as the boys varsity coach, where he won 96 games and had a winning percentage of .632, the highest in school history.

The first practice for the 2023-24 season is Nov. 20.
