SAND CREEK – The Sand Creek Aggies will no longer compete in the Tri-County Conference in football.
The Sand Creek board of education Wednesday approved the Aggies move to the Big 8 conference for the 2024 school year. Sand Creek will remain part of the TCC for all other sports.
“We remain 100 percent committed to the TCC for all other sports,” Sand Creek athletic director Steve Walters said.
That leaves the TCC teams playing 11-player football down to Erie Mason, Summerfield and Whiteford. Those three teams will play each other in 2024.
“The TCC agreed for 2024 we will honor a TCC champ and all-league recognition for the athletes,” Summerfield athletic director Kelly Kalb said.
