OTTAWA LAKE — Kolby Masserant, Jake Iott and Ryin Ruddy have been named to the Division 7-8 First Team All-State by the Associated Press.

The team was released Tuesday evening.

The trio helped the No. 1 ranked Bobcats win their first 13 games of the season and reached the Division 8 state finals for the second consecutive season.

Masserant was one of the top receivers in all of Michigan with 46 receptions for 989 yards and 13 touchdowns, all school records.

A two-time All-Stater, Iott had more than 160 tackles and two big defensive touchdowns during the season and had more than 500 career tackles. On offense he rushed for more than 900 yards on the ground.

Ruddy is a four-year starter on defense who shares the Whiteford record for career games played at 50. On defense he made 137 tackles and returned an interception for a touchdown. On offense he had games in which he led the Bobcats in rushing, receiving, and passing and had more than 1,000 all purpose yards. He scored perhaps the biggest touchdown of the season when he went into the game in the final seconds of the season opener against Blissfield and ran for a 74-yard touchdown to lift the Bobcats to a victory.
