Whiteford 60, Bedford 59
TEMPERANCE – Whiteford needed some late-game heroics from Lincoln Joerin to pull off another victory.
Bedford scored with 10 seconds left to go up 59-58, but Joerin went coast-to-coast with a layup with 6.7 seconds left for the winning bucket. Bedford called timeout and drew up a play, but Evan Parker intercepted the in-bounds pass and ran out the clock.
“They went up one, then Lincoln took it coast-to-cast,” Whiteford coach Nick Abalos said. “Parker had some huge points in the second half. He hit a big three and a big two to put us up before they took the lead.”
Kolby Masserant finished with 17 points, Parker 13, Hunter DeBarr 11 and Josh Hill 10 for the Bobcats.
Bedford got 21 points from Ish Hakki and 10 apiece from Jesse Damon and Kason Snyder.
The Bobcats have won two straight and are 5-1. They host ida Thursday.
