Whiteford drops TCC tilt with Lenawee Christian

OTTAWA LAKE – Whiteford played great defense against Lenawee Christian, allowing the Cougars just 12 field goals but came up short in the Tri-County Conference battle.

The Cougars led by as many as 10 points in the game, but the Bobcats had a chance to tie it inside of the last 30 seconds.

Emily Rasor scored 17 for Whiteford.

“LCS was more aggressive than we were,” Whiteford coach Nick Brillhart said. “They also shot 15 free throws and we shot none. Still, I’m pleased with how well we are playing on the defensive end of the floor. Holding a strong team like that to 31 points is difficult.”
