PETERSBURG – Summerfield beat Whiteford for the first time in three years Thursday, leading throughout the game and winning by 14.
Lincoln Joerin scored 15 and Hunter DeBarr 11 for the Bobcats, who fell into a tie for first place in the TCC with the loss.
Summerfield coach Phil Schiffler called it a “huge win” for the Bulldogs.
“We haven’t beaten Whiteford in anything since I’ve been here and the boys changed that tonight,” he said.
Tyler Dafoe had 20 points and five rebounds and Teddy Gault had 17 points and five rebounds for the Bulldogs. Brendan Myshock had nine rebounds.
Whiteford had won four straight games against the Bulldogs dating back to March 18, 2021.
The 46 points is tied for Whiteford’s fewest points scored in a game this season.
