MORENCI – Whiteford’s competitive Cheerleading team took first place in the Tri-County Conference meet Monday, topping both Morenci and Sand Creek.
Sand Creek finished second.
“It was a great win for us,” Bobcat coach Kim DeSilvis said. “We had two girls injured and three that were sick. We had girls step up and fill spots very last minute. I’m proud of their performance in the face of adversity.”
