HUDSON – Whiteford’s competitive cheer program continues to make huge strides.

The Bobcats – in just their second year of competing against varsity competition – finished fourth out of 12 teams Friday in a Division 3 district and qualified for the regionals next week.

“The girls did amazing,” Bobcat coach Kim DeSilvis said. “Last year we were 11th out of 12. We scored the second highest in round three, only after powerhouse Hudson.”

The Bobcats will compete in the regional at Michigan Center at 10 a.m. Feb. 24.
