STOCKBRIDGE – Whiteford’s track and field team went to Stockbridge Friday to compete in that school’s track and field invitational and came home with a trophy.
The Bobcat boys placed first with 104.5 points.
The 3200 Relay team of Keegan Masters, Zach Kahn, Jakub Diesing and Brek Ruddy placed first with a time of 8:35.61. Brock Norman was second in the 100 (11.56) while Nate Andrews, Brek Ruddy, Jess Saylor and Ryin Ruddy teamed up to place second with a time of 3:22.79 in the 1600 Relay.
The Bobcat girls placed fifth as a team.
Rylie DeSilvis placed second in the long jump with a leap of 15-9.
“We go to these meets to be pushed and to help prepare us for the regional and state meets,” Whiteford coach Jay Yockey said. “We saw a lot of SR’s and PR’s hit even though the results may not show it in our placing, it was still a successful night.”
