OTTAWA LAKE – Perrysburg beat Whiteford 7-3 Thursday in a non-league battle state-ranked teams from two states.

Perrysburg is ranked No. 13 in Ohio’s Division 1 rankings while the Bobcats are in the top 10 in Division 3.

The Yellow Jackets scored in the top of the first but Whiteford answered with a run-scoring double by Addeson Cousino.

Kaydence Sheldon and Jillian Webb also had hits for the Bobcats, who dropped to 9-4.

Unity Nelson struck out four and took the loss in the circle.
