
OTTAWA LAKE – Logan Tammerine tied a single game Whiteford record with 16 strikeouts in the first game of a doubleheader in which the Bobcats swept Sand Creek and wrapped up a TCC championship.
Tammerine struck out 16 batters and gave up just one hit in the first game. He also had two hits and an RBI. Rylan Joerin, Luke Vida, Mason VanBrandt, Tre Eitniear and Nate Stevens also had two hits as the Bobcats won 10-1.
In Game 2, Logan Keane pitched a complete game, striking out five and allowing five hits.
Tammerine and Eitniear had three hits each and Zayne Emch two.
Whiteford completed its TCC season 12-0. Sand Creek is runner-up in the league.
The 23-6 Bobcats play Onsted today.
