Whiteford competes in TCC Cross Country Jamboree

ADRIAN – Whiteford placed second in the first TCC Cross Country Girls Jamboree of the season Tuesday, scoring 67 points to finish behind Erie Mason and ahead of Sand Creek.

Breslin Wing placed eighth (24:01.10) and Brian Wing was 10th (24:29.5). Emily Rasor, Rory Vida and Braelynn Chiotti also had top 20 finishes.

In the boys race, the Bobcats were third behind Erie Mason and Sand Creek.

Nate Andrews placed 14th (20:11) and Cooper Diesing 16th (20:25.6). Connor Mills was 22nd and Keegan Thomas 24th.

“This was our first 5k race of the season and we handled ourselves well given the very tough course and the hot temps,” Whiteford coach Jay Yockey said. “Of course we have work to do, but we will continue to train hard and push forward.”

The race was at Adrian’s Heritage Park and hosted by Lenawee Christian.
