Get to know the new football conference opponents

Starting in 2025, Whiteford will move into a new football conference. It’s the first conference change for Whiteford since 1975-76 when they moved from the Michigan-Ohio Border Conference to the Tri-County Conference (TCC).

The Bobcats will remain in the TCC for all other sports.

The new football-only conference includes four schools from the Buckeye Border Conference, one from the Toledo Area Athletic Conference and two from the TCC.

Those seven schools will play under the Toledo Area Athletic Conference banner in 2025 with the possibility of adding more teams to the mix. Summerfield, for example, has been invited to join as well.

In terms of enrollment, Whiteford is in the middle of the current seven team league:

Whiteford and Ottawa Hills have been in the same conference previously. Both were members of the Michigan-Ohio Border Conference (MOBC) in 1973-74 and 1974-75 before Whiteford left the league to join the TCC.

Whiteford and Erie Mason were in the River Raisin Conference, MOBC and, since 2020, the TCC together.
