
ANN ARBOR — Alaina McClain became the first Whiteford girl to qualify for the state meet in several seasons.
McClain placed 12th in the regional field with a PR of 21:16.8.
McClain helped the Bobcat women place fifth overall. Braelynn Chiotti was 31st, Breslin Wing 33rd, Rory Vida 34th and Briar Wing 35th.
“The rest of the girls team well and finished up their seasons with laying it all on the line,” Bobcat coach Jay Yockey said. “Our boys team ran well. They were definitely a consistent team throughout the season.”
The boys were 10th overall.
Conner Mills placed 46th with a time of 19:31.3 to lead the Bobcats.
