OTTAWA LAKE – Whiteford’s season came to a close Wednesday as the Bobcats fell to Erie Mason 26-28, 25-13, 25-12, 16-25, 14-15.
The Bobcats season comes to an end with the loss to the Tri-County Conference champion Eagles.
Maylie Mullins led with 17 kills and 9 aces, Alaina McClain added 12 and 4 aces, Liv Ruehle had 27 digs, Bailey Spradling added 20 digs and Addeson Cousino had 36 assists.
“I am super proud of the group,” Bobcat coach Janie Valdez said.
Whiteford finishes the season with a 24-13-1 record. The 24 wins is the most for Whiteford since 2014.
“The future is bright,” Valdez said.
The Eagles advance to Saturday’s final against Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central, who beat Blissfield in the first semifinal Wednesday, 25-7, 25-6, 25-10.
