OTTAWA LAKE – Whiteford’s girls basketball season is off and running.
The Bobcats beat Saline Washtenaw Christian 48-40 Monday in the season opener.
“They are well coached and a solid team,” Bobcat coach Nick Brillhart said.
The Bobcats led by as many as 17 points in the third quarter before Washtenaw Christian cut the lead to 5 in the fourth quarter.
Emily Rasor led Whiteford with 13 points, 9 rebounds, 5 steals, and 4 assists. Emily Hill added 12 points. Brooklyn Mills and Addeson Cousino played well defensively.
