Whiteford defeats Clinton with great second half effort

OTTAWA LAKE – Clinton and Whiteford were deadlocked at 21-21 at halftime, but the Bobcat defense put the clamps on in the second half as the Bobcats won the non-league game.

“Our defense really stepped up the pressure in the second half,” Whiteford coach Nick Brillhart said. “We took care of the ball better and were able to beat their pressure a few times to open it up in the fourth quarter.”

Emily Rasor led the Bobcats with 13 points. Emily Hill chipped in with 12 points and Brooklyn Mills scored 9.

The Bobcats are 5-3.
