OTTAWA LAKE – Keegan Thomas was in the right place at the right time Monday and it led to a buzzer-beating win for the Whiteford Bobcats.
Whiteford trailed Blissfield 59-58 with four seconds to play and set up a play.
“We drew up a lob to (Logan) Delmotte, but it was overthrown and ended up to Thomas,” Bobcat coach Nick Abalos said.
Thomas grabbed the ball and hit a bucket to give the Bobcats a 60-59 win.
Nate Andrews scored 18 points and Caden Schroyer 14 for the 9-4 Bobcats. Rylan Joerin chipped in with 9 points and Delmotte scored 8. Thomas made two field goals on the night.
