OTTAWA LAKE – Whiteford picked up a split in its two games Saturday, losing to Milan and beating Plymouth Christian.
Brooklyn Mills broke a 1-1 tie in the second game with her first home run of the season, lifting Whiteford to a 3-2 win.
Griffith had two hits for Whiteford.
Milan beat Whiteford in the opener Saturday 4-1.
Peyton Welch had two hits and Butz had a triple for the Bobcats. Welch struck out six in six innings and allowed four earned runs.
“It was great to finally play some softball in decent spring weather,” Whiteford coach Matt VanBrandt said. “Milan is solid defensively and also has some very good hitters. Plymouth Christian has good pitching and several very good hitters.
“Today was a great tune-up before league play.”
