OTTAWA LAKE – A three-run fifth inning helped the Bobcats slip past Hudson 7-2 in a non-league match-up Thursday.
The Bobcats banged out 10 hits, including two each from Brooklyn Mills, Ava Stevens, and Addeson Cousino. Bailey Spradling had three RBI on the day.
“Our hitters are just gritty at the plate,” Whiteford coach Matt VanBrandt said. “They go deep in the count and find a way to put the ball in play.”
Peyton Welch picked up the win in the circle, striking out 11.
The 6-3 Bobcats have a busy week next week. They travel to Woodhaven Monday, host Whitmer Tuesday and travel to Morenci Wednesday for a TCC doubleheader.
