MORENCI – Whiteford beat Morenci twice Tuesday.

The Bobcat boys won 84-51 and the Bobcat girls won 79-40.

The girls won the 4×100, 4×200 and 4×400 relays and had wins from Alaina McClain (800), Breslin Wing (1600), Braelynn Chiotti (3200), Carolyn Mohler (pole vault) and Madilyn Thorn (long jump). Nina Bauman won two events – the discus and high jump.

Whiteford’s boys won the 4×200, 4×400 and 4×800 relays. Jess Saylor (200), Brek Ruddy (pole vault and 400), Nate Andrews (long jump), Chase Lee (shot put), Logan Riffle (discus) and Ryan Thomas (high jump) were also winners.

“We had a solid day,” Whiteford coach Jay Yockey said. “It wasn’t our best but we came out and completed. We have a lot of fine tuning to do for the next few championships over the next two-three weeks.”

The Bobcats race Friday at the Stockbridge invitational.
