TEMPERANCE – Whiteford’s regular season came to an end Saturday with a doubleheader split against Bedford.
Whiteford beat the Mules 1-0 in the first game and lost the nightcap 7-3.
Caden Schroyer got the win in the first game, going six innings. Nate Stevens preserved the win with a scoreless seventh inning, earning the save.
“It was a big win for Schroyer,” Whiteford coach Terry Pant said. “He missed all of last season with a knee injury.”
Whiteford ends the regular season 22-9. The Bobcats take on Onsted Tuesday in a Division 3 pre-district game. The winner will face Hudson in the district at Hudson on Saturday.
