JACKSON – Whiteford finished fourth at the Division 4 regional golf championships Tuesday, missing qualifying for the state tournament by four strokes.

The Bobcats fired a 358, four strokes behind third place Jackson Christian at Arbor Hills Golf Course in Jackson.

Whiteford sophomore Cade Schober qualified for the state meet with an 18-hole round of 84, which was good for fourth place, two strokes behind the medalist, James Feudi of Summerfield.

Schober will compete June 6-7 at Katke Course at Ferris State University in the Division 4 golf finals.
