KENT CITY – Five Whiteford athletes earned All-State honors Saturday at the Division 3 state track meet.
Madilyn Thorn placed second in the long jump for the Bobcat girls while the 4×400 relay of Nate Andrews, Brek Ruddy, Jess Saylor and Brody Hillard placed seventh.
“We had a great representation at the state level,” Coach Jay Yockey said. “This just continues to set into motion what success can look like for our track and field program.”
Nina Bauman was 13th in discus. The boys 4×200 of Nate Andrews, Antonio Nachtrab, Drew Ruddy, and Jess Saylor placed 12th. Alaina McClain was 17th in the 800. Brek Ruddy was 10th in pole vault. Bauman, Briar Wing, Braelynn Chiotti, and Alaina McClain were 22nd in the 4×400.
