Blissfield and Whiteford are going their separate ways in boys and girls basketball.

The two schools have been part of the same basketball districts for more than 20 years, but not in 2025-26, according to the new district assignment list released recently by the Michigan High School Athletic Association.

In boys basketball next year the Royals will play in the Division 3 district at Manchester while Whiteford will be at Erie Mason.

Blissfield, Clinton, Grass Lake, Manchester, Onsted and Sand Creek will be at Manchester.
Whiteford will be in a six-team district with Erie Mason, Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central, defending state champion Riverview Gabriel Richard, Taylor Prep and Ypsilanti Arbor Prep.

In girls basketball, Blissfield will play at Onsted along with Brooklyn Columbia Central, Clinton and Sand Creek.

Whiteford will host a district with Ann Arbor Greenhills, Erie Mason, Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central, Riverview Gabriel Richard and defending state champion Ypsilanti Arbor Prep.

Britton Deerfield’s girls will be in a Division 4 district with Lenawee Christian, Ann Arbor Central Academy, Manchester and Summerfield.

The Division 4 boys basketball district will be slightly different with BD playing at Morenci with Lenawee Christian, Summerfield, Pittsford and Waldron.
