Bobcats play well in Bedford’s End of Summer classic

TEMPERANCE – Whiteford went 1-3 Friday in the End of Summer Classic hosted by Bedford.

The Bobcats lost to the host Mules 25-17, 25-18. Bedford went on to win the championship.

Whiteford beat Monroe 25-12, 19-25, 19-9. They lost to Ida 25-22, 25-18 and Ann Arbor Skyline 25-19, 25-23.

“We competed well against some big schools,” Bobcat coach Janie Valdez said. “Hopefully this is preparing us for league play starting Tuesday.”

Bailey Spradling had 20 kills and 26 digs on the day.

“She was solid for us all the way around,” Valdez said.

Maylie Mullins had 17 kills and 23 digs. Addeson Cousino had 51 assists.
