ALLEN PARK – Whiteford went 2-1 in pool play, then fell in the Gold Bracket to the host school Saturday at the Allen Park Invitational.

The Bobcats got past Grosse Ile (25-21, 25-23) and Dearborn Fordson (25-17, 25-22) but lost to Plymouth Salem (25-21, 25-18) to wrap up pool play. In the Gold Bracket they got beat by Allen Park, 25-23, 25-14.

“We were battling some injuries that hurt us but all in all, a good day,” Bobcat coach Janie Valdez said.

Kailee LaVoy had a big day with 27 kills. Bailey Spradling had 19 kills and 34 digs and Nina Bauman had 15 kills. Addeson Cousino had 67 assists for the day.
